Florence Casket Company moved to Florence, MA in 1873 from Bristol, VT. They manufactured oak caskets and furniture and eventually moved to making only caskets. The company was owned by four generations of Bosworths before selling it to the Christensons in 1958. The company is now being operated by the third generation of Christensons.

Florence Casket manufactures wooden caskets and wooden urns. We also distribute metal and cloth caskets, stone and brass urns and cremation products. Our wooden caskets are made in Florence, MA from union labor. Florence Casket uses solid species wood, not particle board or veneers. All of our wooden caskets can be customized. For families who choose cremation over burial, all of our wooden caskets are suitable for cremation use.

Florence Casket is America’s oldest continually operating casket manufacturer. Since 1873, many of New England’s artists, authors and celebrities have been laid to rest in a Florence Casket. We distribute to most parts of New England, New York and New Jersey.
